Gino Di Napoli has been performing in Schools for many years. His programs have been musical performances that highlight the Music of Italy and how it has influenced American music and vice versa. When required, Gino can also sing few songs in Spanish and French.
The musical programs are designed to engage the students in participation. The students will sing and dance to the best Italian music.
Gino is a participant of BOCES Arts in Education Programs. Gino also performs at Universities, Festivals, Catering halls, etc. His music is being played on the Radio and he has his own Cable TV Show. Gino also performed a pre-game Show of Italian music for the Mets.
The programs are highly educational.
Program #1 is designed for students of Italian and their families.
Program #2 is designed for students of Italian. A small segment can be dedicated for students of Spanish and French. Social Study students will also benefit from this program because it gives a little history of the songs and the dialects of Italy. Of course, this can also be an educational experience for music students.

Program #1 “Festival”
This program is usually done in the cafeteria. Parents bring Italian food (some schools have the food catered). Gino will play old and new Italian music; students and parents will have a great time dancing, singing etc. Gino will engage the students to participate with songs such as “Volare”, “L'Italiano”, “Ti Amo” etc. The students can also dance the “Chicken dance” and the “Tarantella”.
Students will learn how to organize an Italian Festival. They will learn how to set up tables, decorate the cafeteria, serve food and host an event. This is a hands-on organizational experience and they will be exposed to the Real Music of Italy.
Program #2 “Assembly”
This program is usually done in the auditorium. Gino will be singing Italian music; Gino will give a little history of the songs, where they generated, if songs are written in Italian or Neapolitan. Some of the songs will be performed in Italian and English. It is not a known fact that Elvis sang Italian songs in English: “It’s Now Or Never”, " Come Back To Sorrento”, You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me” are examples of the songs that generated in Italy.
Gino will engage the students, they will be singing along such songs as “Volare”, “L’Italiano”,
“Ti Amo’. The students can also dance the “Chicken dance” and the “Tarantella”.
We can display scenes of Italy on your drop screen if you have one.
We can also videotape, or teach the students how to videotape the show, we may choose
